The final Event

After a series of thrilling local qualifiers, the Braun Battle of the Year 2011 will for a second year culminate in the big final taking place on November 19, 2011 at Park & Suites Arena Montpellier in France.

Staying true to the motto “… a change of direction”, the main goal for the finals will once again be to showcase latest perspectives of b-boying and present a whole week full of the finest hip hop action possible.

In addition to the main event, a series of gigs, workshops, OnevsOne performances, We B*Girlz Battles, lectures, parties, dance theatre shows and much, more will keep everyone entertained and make the 2011 Braun Battle of the Year finals an exceptional all-round hip hop extravaganza.

Jinjo Crew

Winners of the Battle Of The Year 2010, Korean JinJo Crew formed in 2001. Members include world famous champions b-boy Hong10 and b-boy Wing, winners of the Red Bull BC1 in 2006 in Brazil and 2008 in Paris respectively.

Dead Prezz

Originally from Athens, Greece, Dead Prezz is a crew of 14 members in total. Their debut was in 2007, and from the first day on, they aimed to popularize b-boying in Greece. At BOTY Finals 2010 they took the seventh place, and for 2011 they definitely want to get higher.

Kosher Flava

Hailing from Israel, Kosher Flava are the most explosive act in the country right now. This group of friends, who have known each other for more than five years, originally started b-boying in different crews. In 2009, when they participated in many solo events in the USA, the idea of a united crew was born.

TPEC Crew

TPEC stands for Taipei Physical Education College. This college is the main center of athletics and sport science in Taiwan and the wellspring of cultivating sport and health in professional physical education.

Maximum Crew

Maximum Crew are the second act from b-boy crazed Korean and are one of the most respected crews in their homeland alongside “Jinjo Crew” who won BOTY in 2010. However, some members of the Maximum Crew know what it takes to win the biggest prize in b-boying.

CT Group

The CT Group from Poland was founded in 2002 by Marek Kisiel. The group is absolutely passionate about b-boying and is very experienced in the fields of competition and public appearances. On May 10, 2011, the polish team celebrated its biggest success so far; winning the BOTY South East Europe in Vienna, and qualifying for the Braun Battle Of The Year in Montpellier.

Nine States B-Boyz

The Nine States B-Boyz literally came out from nowhere to shake up the Japanese b-boys scene, even beating well-known crew Mortal Combat at the Battle Of The Year Japan. Nine States B-Boyz are a young and enterprising crew from the south side of Japan, an area called “Kyusyu” which means “the region of the nine states“.

Vagabonds

Already one of the longest and most successful crews around, the French qualifiers Vagabonds have grown through regeneration and bringing fresh talent into the crew. Straight out of Paris, they won the Battle Of The Year 2006 by beating the South Korean crew “last for one”, the 2005 champions.

Simple System

Simple System won the BOTY Kazakhstan qualifier the second time, and they are ready to enter again the big stage of the BOTY finals. Last year, Shadr, Vera, Killa-Kolya, Tyoma, Adlet, Daulet, Dom and Fix captured the ninth place in the BOTY ranking list.
