It's gonna be big! The Braun Battle of the Year Final 2011 is going down at the Park & Suites Arena in Montpellier, France on November 19 for a second year running.

These finals will showcase latest perspectives of b-boying and present a whole week full of the finest hip hop action possible. On top of the main event, there'll be a series of gigs, workshops, OnevsOne performances, We B*Girlz Battles, lectures, parties, dance theatre shows and much, more to make the Braun BOTY a killer all-round hip hop extravaganza.

Jinjo Crew

Winners of the Battle Of The Year 2010, Korean JinJo Crew formed in 2001. Members include world famous champions b-boy Hong10 and b-boy Wing, winners of the Red Bull BC1 in 2006 in Brazil and 2008 in Paris respectively.

CT Group

The CT Group from Poland was founded in 2002 by Marek Kisiel. The group is absolutely passionate about b-boying and is very experienced in the fields of competition and public appearances. On May 10, 2011, the polish team celebrated its biggest success so far; winning the BOTY South East Europe in Vienna, and qualifying for the Braun Battle Of The Year in Montpellier.

Dead Prezz

Originally from Athens, Greece, Dead Prezz is a crew of 14 members in total. Their debut was in 2007, and from the first day on, they aimed to popularize b-boying in Greece. At BOTY Finals 2010 they took the seventh place, and for 2011 they definitely want to get higher.

Nine Stages B-Boyz

The Nine Stages B-Boyz literally came out from nowhere to shake up the Japanese b-boys scene, even beating well-known crew Mortal Combat at the Battle Of The Year Japan. Nine Stages B-Boyz are a young and enterprising crew from the south side of Japan, an area called “Kyusyu” which means “the region of the nine states“.

Kosher Flava

Hailing from Israel, Kosher Flava are the most explosive act in the country right now. This group of friends, who have known each other for more than five years, originally started b-boying in different crews. In 2009, when they participated in many solo events in the USA, the idea of a united crew was born.

Vagabonds

Founded in 2000, The Vagabonds Crew always defended the values of French Hip-Hop identity and the respect of Hip-Hop roots. For the crew the worst thing is the abandonment of identities in a big uniform cultural expression and it’s important for each crew to point up their own style and message.

TPEC Crew

TPEC stands for Taipei Physical Education College. This college is the main center of athletics and sport science in Taiwan and the wellspring of cultivating sport and health in professional physical education.

Simple System

Simple System won the BOTY Kazakhstan qualifier the second time, and they are ready to enter again the big stage of the BOTY finals. Last year, Shadr, Vera, Killa-Kolya, Tyoma, Adlet, Daulet, Dom and Fix captured the ninth place in the BOTY ranking list.

Maximum Crew

Maximum Crew are the second act from b-boy crazed Korean and are one of the most respected crews in their homeland alongside “Jinjo Crew” who won BOTY in 2010. However, some members of the Maximum Crew know what it takes to win the biggest prize in b-boying.

Battle Born

Battle Born hail from Las Vegas and consist of members of b-boys ATN, RolandBlunts, Groucho, Fury, Nonski, Jafokes, Yoshi, Anthony, A.I., Ron Roxworth, Ruphio, Vidal and b-girl Chez. The crew participates in a dozens of events such as B-Boy Massacre, B-Boy Summit and Braun Battle of the Year.

Guatemaya Crew

In 2010 Guatemalan b-boyers Chapin Crew came over to the BOTY finals and, now the guys from Guatemaya crew wil have the chance to represent their country and compete against all the other international top crews.

Reckless Bunch

Winners of the Braun BOTY Germany 2011 qualifier, Reckless Bunch hail from Dortmund and beat previous winners Flow Job to have the honor of representing Germany at the Braun BOTY final. They consist of nine members. 

Amazon B-Boys

Back again! Amazon B-Boys are the worthy winners of the BOTY Brazil qualifier 2011 and will represent their country at the Braun BOTY Final in Montpellier.

Ruff 'n' X

Already a name in the scene, the winners of the Battle of the Year Switzerland 2011 qualifier is the Ruff `n`X crew. The group represented Switzerland in 2006 and 2007 and is well known on the Battle of the Year stages.

De Klan

Rome's De Klan will be representing Italy at the Braun BOTY finals for a third time after a close qualifying battle in Rome on September 17. They will have to work hard at the finals, but they're dedicated to giving it everything.

Hoochen Crew

Belgium's Hoochen Crew won their ticket to the Braun BOTY Finals with a creative, original and humorous performance at the Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg qualifier on September 17. They beat defending BeNeLux champions Team Shmetta and are hyped to be representing their country.

Over Boys

Over Boys earned their place in the grand finals with a tremendous performance in Dubai. The United Arab Emirates crew beat crews from as far as Jordan, Oman and Kuwait to qualify and these eight b-boys will be looking for success to help promote b-boying in the Middle East region.

1piece ud town

The last Thai crew to win BOTY South Asia and attend the Braun BOTY finals was Ground Scatter Crew in 2007. Now, after a four year absence, Thai b-boying will return to the international stage with 1piece ud town.  

Flavaz Army

Tunisian crew Flavaz Army are ready for the Braun BOTY Grand Finals! The crew holds themselves to high standards and will look to make a big impact at the BOTY finals.  The crew is experienced and renown for their unique dance style that they will hope to use to their advantage.

BMT & Mafia 13

Two crews teamed up to realize their goal - to participate at the Braun BOTY Finals in Montpellier. Both crews are famous for their excellent battle skills and they now need to prove that they can put a choreography together which will not only impress the audience but the judges too.

Fusion Crew

This Algerian crew is used to being in the spotlight and Fusion Crew certainly likes to put on a show. Their stylish displays have ensured that they have remained the dominant b-boying force in Algeria over the past few years.

DJ Lean Rock

You may recognize this talented DJ from the most recent for the Braun cruZer6 beard&head. Hailing from Boston MA, DJ Lean Rock has been a b-boy for nearly 15 years and a DJ for five. His battling career involves winning numerous top battles such as Out For Fame 2006 US National Championship, United Styles World B-boy Cup 2, Evolution 3, and B-boy Summit. Now, true to his Hip Hop DNA, he goes the extra mile to dig for rare funky breaks and Hip Hop that no one else is spinning.

DJ Mar

DJ Mar

One of Japan’s finest, DJ Mar likes to drop beats from a variety of genres and has become renown for his creative hooks and funky versatility. Whilst spinning a core of Hip Hop, you can be certain that some soul, funk, rock, jazz, Latin, and disco will also be dropped into the mix. Highly acclaimed on the international scene, DJ Mar has likes to apply his extensive knowledge of the b-boy culture to his music. Prepare to be educated.

MC Maleek

MC Maleek

Hailing from Lille, this activist rapper arrived on the scene at Braun BOTY four years ago and never left. Maleek’s commanding voice controls the room, and it’s his vocal authority that ensures events run smoothly. This organizer of the Braun BOTY qualifiers in Northern France commands the respect of the b-boys waiting for his call. 

MC Nasty

MC Nasty

For over 20 years Nasty has been a Hip Hop activist and one of the main leaders of b-boying in France. Nasty lives and breathes for the local scene, and you will find him working on new projects every weekend. As a DJ, Nasty likes to spins the essence of Hip Hop and delivers some musical genius. He has spun at the Braun BOTY for many years and is widely respected for his dedication to the culture.   

MC Spax

MC Spax

Since his debut album in 1996, German rapper Spax has lit up the scene- performing live shows with Jeru the Damaja, Gangstarr and Eminem as well as featuring stars like Guru and LL Cool J on his tracks. Spax developed his name through social-conscious rap lyrics that openly criticize sexist and racist attitudes, and has become famous for his freestyle skills. In 1997 he hosted the Battle of the Year for the first time. Together with MC Trix, he has become the driving force behind the BOTY event. Since 2004, Spax has been co-operating with theatre productions as well giving workshops all over the globe.

MC Trix

MC Trix

Trix is a major stage presence with his unpredictable dress (he changes approximately 15 times a day) and unique voice. His trademark phrases have become part of Braun BOTY history and it is not uncommon for Trix to be yelling, “Let the battle begin! One breaker, one battle!”Trix is a force of nature and an irrepressible personality that embodies the spirit of Braun BOTY.

Poe One

Poe One

There is a reason Poe One is in such big demand. The Puerto Rican is a master of many arts such as dancing, teaching, judging and promoting. Currently living in Los Angeles, Poe is a member of Rock So Fresh, Zulu Kingz and Style Elements. You will have spotted him judging many major international b-boy events like Braun BOTY and RED Bull BC One, as well as holding workshops and master classes around the world.

Movie One

Movie One

This b-girl is well known throughout Europe, having won several solo and crew competitions despite only breaking for three years. Despite her late arrival to the b-girl scene, Hip Hop has always been in her blood and Movie One started with graffiti nine years ago when she started painting complicated murals. Although always interested in the breaking scene, she only began participating one day when she gave it a go herself. After that she was hooked. Since then she has steadily gained stature amongst the top b-girls. Movie One is currently a member of Lunaticks. 

Lilou

Lilou

Despite being a controversial character, Lilou remains one of the most popular b-boys of all. Winning numerous competitions has cemented his place in b-boy history and his life was documented in the film ‘Turn it Loose’. The French-Algerian b-boy infamously refused to return his winner’s belt from the Red Bull One tournament in 2005, unperturbed about the possibility of not being invited back. It will certainly take an eye-catching performance to impress this charismatic judge. 

Crazy

Crazy

Crazy became a Hip Hop activist in 1982. The Swiss master began teaching a variety of Hip Hop disciplines in different countries in 1988, and has been judging b-boy championships around the world since 1996. Crazy has appeared in numerous TV dance shows and has become a regular stage presence at Hip Hop events. Whether it is rap, beat-boxing, breaking or Hip Hop, you can be sure Crazy will be involved.

Taisuke

Taisuke

Another b-boy to appear in the documentary ‘Turn it Loose’, Taisuke has become an icon in Japan. The 21-year-old came has already made his mark on the scene by coming second in the Red Bull BC One in 2008. Taisuke began breaking at the age of eight after being inspired by his b-girl sister. His focus has now shifted fully to his b-boy career after recently graduating from the International Dance College in Tokyo. He is widely respected and is already considered a top-tier b-boy amongst his peers.
